The Holley 300-130 Manifold is designed to work with all GM LS Gen III or IV engines equipped with LS1/LS2/LS6 style cathedral port cylinder heads. The Manifold port size is a 2.72" height x 1" wide RECTANGLE, but the supplied Viton® O-rings provide an OEM style seal that fits CATHEDRAL INTAKES.
The Manifold is for cathedral port heads.
The supplied O-rings convert the square ports on the manifold to the cathedral ports on the head.
The small triangular piece on top of the head does not have to do with air flow at all, but is used for fuel injection. When going to a carburetor, for what the manifold is intended for, it doesn't affect air flow at all.
There are no issues at all with airflow because the fuel air mixture is coming from the carburetor above.

We put this kit together at SK Speed to simply the install of a Carburetor on a Cathedral Port LS Engine. With Holley Dual Plane Intake, you get a standard 4150 Flange which accepts most aftermarket Carburetors. The MSD 6014 Ignition Controller allows a simple plug-n-play installation affording easy control over the factory coils. The controller is also programmable giving total ignition control when needed.
